I am Vintage

With hundreds of items to choose from there should be be something for all vintage fans amongst my stock, however the common issue facing buyers of second hand clothes is sizing. You may find that perfect frock or discover the jacket you've searched years for but it doesn't fit. That is where my decades of tailoring and dressmaking experience come in. Add to that the fact I'm a child of the sixties and you'll realise my vintage credentials are more than a rail of clothes.

Missfit Creations is not only a retail outlet for sustainable fashion. All vintage clothing is lovingly cleaned and restored and if it isn't a perfect fit for the customer, I can usually rectify that with alteration. Likewise, where personalisation is required there are many ways to customise and redesign a piece to further enhance its individuality. Where items of vintage clothing have seen better years they can be reworked and upcycled to suit.

I still offer a commission service if you are looking for a unique design, I have recreated many pop star looks from Bowie to Gaga. Although I've worked in various genres of fashion through the years, I no longer take on bridal work and my focus remains on pop fashion and sustainable design. However, you can send me your request and if it's not something I can take on, I do have a range of dressmaking friends to whom I can pass commissions.

The website shop is currently being populated with stock which previously was only available via Etsy. This in turn is linked to Facebook and hopefully then to Instagram to widen my sales reach. Please bear with me while I undertake this mammoth task as I also have the small matter of over 100 more vintage pieces to add to the existing stock. This is being further boosted by another huge delivery in a couple of weeks.
