This gorgeous green chiffon layered dress has been lovingly handmade and dates back to the 1960's, possibly earlier. The fabric is so sheer that in places the chiffon had pulled and so, I have gathered and draped areas of most concern. There are a couple of small pin prick holes visible if you examine it closely but not noticeable unless you scrutinize.
I have also re-affixed the bow and tidied up the neck edge but again, this is such a delicate dress I have not wanted to take away any of it's original charm. There are occasions when, a dress like this may need completely refashioning but in this case, it was possible to save the essence as well as the dress as a whole.
The dress fastens at the back with its original zipper and a small hook and fabric looped eye. I have hand washed and pressed only lightly for display.
Here is a dress deserving of the work put in to save it, guaranteed to impress just as much as it did over sixty years ago.
