Beautifully made and very well preserved, this unusual prairie style dress is from UK designer Kati at Laura Phillips. Fully lined, the dress fastens at the back with its original zipper in good working order along with two hook and eye fastenings at the high neck edge.
The bodice is decorated with two panels of white cotton lace between which sit nine mother of pearl style buttons, these are so realistic, quite weighty and undamaged. The sleeves are not lined which gives them a sheer finish and the long narrow cuff fastens with three popper fastenings at each side. A mock belt is attached around the waistline and tied in a long bow at the front. The skirt is paneled and falls in a gentle A line.
The dress benefits from being well tailored for a flattering fit, please check measurements as vintage sizing can differ from todays size charts.
