This beautiful floral maxi comes from UK designer Norman Linton of London. On arrival with me it had several small stains, possibly from a spill as it was so random. The dress was too good to upcycle and so I looked at other ways of saving it and decided on covering the stained areas with lace flowers. The lace comes from a wedding dress, each piece cut and hand-stitched in place.
The long sleeves have a wide cuff which is lined and trimmed with floral lace trim, the same features around the waist. The dress is thoughtfully tailored to give a flattering fit and fastens at the back with its original zipper.
All of my vintage is recovered and repaired where possible, this particular dress took some considerable time to breathe new life into but I hope you'll agree, it deserves to be worn and loved again and again.
