Rarely does a dress of this age and quality appear in my stock without some damage. This piece however is practically perfect!
Made by designer Marie Moore, the dress is a coat style that has a double-breasted appearance, only one line of fastening buttons. The buttons are brass look and have a small amount of tarnishing. 
The short sleeves have an orange cuff and the V Neck lapel is also in orange, Patterned on the underside. 
The dress is well tailored, the panels accentuating the slight A line shape. There are two orange flap fronts but no pockets and an orange belt detail at the back with two buttons either side.
With only four fastening buttons the lower front laps over but does open- maybe hotpants were worn under.
The patern is in a dark muted green and vibrant orange with white, very '60s design!
This is a piece of swinging sixties history, a real gem of vintage treasure.
