The Mending Circle will be back out on the streets of Tamworth in Staffordshire this Saturday 26th April, to celebrate Mend in Public Day.
Falling within Fashion Revolution Week , this annual event coincides with our regular Stitch it Don't Ditch It street stitching meet ups.
The idea is simple: get out into your local community and stitch in protest against disposable fashion. Amidst busy Saturday shoppers, we will repair our torn pockets and broken seams and spark conversations on making Loved Clothes Last.
Mend in Public Day stands as a beacon of change in a world inundated with fashion waste. By participating, you’ll be part of a global creative action resisting the cycle of excess through repair and reuse.
Join us from 10am until 3pm on George Street, Tamworth where we'll have a marquee set up to help and advise on extending the life of your clothing. Bring along your repairs and we can share skills, showing you tips and tricks to keep your garments in circulation for longer.
